Early 2019, a strategic agreement of cooperation has been signed between OCTRA and VANGUARD, the international heavy lift, transport and installation company.
Bringing both companies’ respective experience and expertise together strengthens their abilities to offer clients more comprehensive project cargo solutions in providing an in-house, door-to-door service for their complex heavy lift projects.
With an initial focus on servicing clients in the Energy, Automotive, Renewable and Mining industries, the effective result of the partnership will be an improved service package including:
• Complex project management
• Engineered Heavy Lift Freight and Ocean Carriage Solutions
• Owner operated Heavy Lift/Transport and Installation equipment
• Engineering Solutions
• International representation including Europe, Asia, America and Africa
Born out of a long-standing relationship in the Nuclear Industry, both companies look forward to expanding their service offering on a global front. The partnership, while increasing VANGUARD’s international presence and management of project cargo destined for Africa, reinforces OCTRA’s current focus on African projects as well as continuing to assert its current technical approach to projects.
The partnership is covering Europe, where OCTRA is based, and Southern Africa,
including South Africa, Mozambique, Namibia, Democratic Republic of Congo,
Zimbabwe, Botswana and Zambia, where VANGUARD either has offices or has
done regular project work over the years. In addition given the combined experience,
it is our intention to expand and develop our offering to the project cargo market out
of Asia and America, where we have already established a strong presence.
With this strong and long term partnership, clients stand to ultimately benefit from
the highly skilled engineering and vast range of specialised equipment owned and
operated to provide onward transport and installation of project cargo.
